Good morning all,
Subj: Cold War Times e-journal;
The Cold War Museum sponsores the Cold War Times.
If any member here wants to write or co-author an article re a Cold War subject, I will help......presuming my help has value.
Articles do more than 1 thing. They give our organization name recognition, ie exposure for growth and legitimacy. They give the author a resume entry (if done properly). Articles record matters that would otherwise be lost in - to use a former NCO's term - the many "quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore".
Edgar Allen Poe was a Sergeant Major in the US Army.
.....
As VP of AFCWVA, I've got some work to do and getting our members published in the Cold War Journal will be part of this work.
Warm regards,
Bob

Bob,
I used to write a column and send it to Francis Gary Powers, Jr., the editor, but work and time caused me to drop off the radar screen and never get back to it.
Would you be willing to send in a monthly or quarterly report to them?
We could work on the points of AFCWA business here (with member input) and you could send in a report to Francis for printing in the Cold War Times journal.
He runs a great website!
Regards, Mick

Good morning Mick,
It sounds easy enough to send in a periodic report to the Journal.
I had been waiting for the museum to open so as to meet in person with the key people of the museum. Plus, I am in cyber contact with Chris Sturdevant, editor of the Journal.
My main drawback is that I do not have the PC equipment here to prep material other than emails. This new-fangled telegraph key is overloaded with antispywar and also antieverythingelseware (and coupled to my computer illiteracy).
Let's see what posts we get to this thread in the next couple of weeks.
Warm regards,
Bob
