The beginning of the Cold War began with the French Indochina War (1945-54) in which French, French Union, Vietnamese and Foreign Legion units fought against Communist Vietnamese, Chinese and Soviet-bloc supplied troops in the Viet-bac of Vietnam. Though the French Indochina War (called la guerre d'indochine) was a post-WWII colonial war to maintain Indochina as part of the French empire, the war quickly turned into the first shot across the bow in the Cold War.

The Allied Forces Cold War Association (AFCWA) is in the process of establishing a global Board of Directors consisting of:

* President

If you are interested in joining the Board of Directors, you must be available by email, adhere to the AFCWA Bylaws and provide quarterly reports to the AFCWA Membership (via this forum).
