When I arrived home from work today, I found a large package on my doorstep. Inside were headgear items the AFCWA has been searching for since the inception of our organization in 2008. A sincere thank you to Mr. Todd Martin who not only found the source of Garrison Caps (GC), in Louisiana but actually went to the surplus store that sells them, bought half a dozen for us and mailed them to me. There are nearly a dozen GCs in various sizes, in superb condition. These are the standard U.S. Army issue (Cold War) green Garrison Caps (GC) worn from the late 70's until the adoption of the black beret by the U.S. Army If you would like to get your Army Green GC, we've got em. Contact me at michaelwstewart@yahoo.com and let me know your size. Price is $5 per hat. Purchaser pays postage. What money we make (about $2 per hat), we'll use to purchase more GCs and AFCWA patches. Todd, our most sincere thanks. Now ... what do we do with the black berets? ;D

Mick et al,
I was happy I could help your group in finding the caps. Unfortunately, the place didn't have larger sizes (7.5 and up). I'm going to be going back in the next week or two and I'll ask if they could check in the warehouse on the off chance they have some larger sizes hidden away. Hope springs eternal.
