Greetings Cold War Veterans!
The Allied Forces Cold War Association (AFCWA) was formed in 2005 and has undergone many changes since our initial establishment.
Earlier this year, we re-organized the association from its initial mission (orientation with historical recreation) back to the necessary Cold War Mission: fighting for CW veterans, establishing liason with Allied Forces Cold War vet's (NATO/SEATO), and implementation of the Cold War Victory Medal (CWVM). Our future objective is also to reach non-profit status with the IRS and to become a recognized 501(c)(19) Veteran Service Organization (VSO). If you have spent any time in veteran's organizations, you know these are both uphill battles.
Our current mission statement:
We hope that you will join with us as we re-organize the AFCWA, establish a new Board of Directors and take our place alongside other VSO's in the U.S. (and overseas).
Regards,
Mick

Our current mission statement:
- COMRADERY. To organize Cold War Veterans from all Allied nations across the globe in comradery and spirit to educate each individual nation on the Cold War [ 1945-1991 ], its significance and background to today's current events;
- REMEMBRANCE. To commemorate and remember those Cold War Warriors who served in both the Cold and 'hot' wars during this period [ 1945-1991 ] and to never forget the sacrifice of those who defended liberty from tyranny;
- SERVICE. To fight for a Cold War Victory Medal (CWVM), Cold War veterans rights and benefits from all NATO/SEATO nations that served gallantly and proudly with us against the forces of global Communism.
We hope that you will join with us as we re-organize the AFCWA, establish a new Board of Directors and take our place alongside other VSO's in the U.S. (and overseas).
Regards,
Mick
