The Allied Forces Cold War Veterans Association (AFCWA) will be in Waxahachie, TX , 11-12 November for their annual Waxahachie Veterans Weekend in the city square. Waxahachie is located south of Dallas, off I-45. Here is the information:
Two-day event in and about downtown Waxahachie during Veteran's Day Weekend to honor vets and their past and continuing sacrifices, by creating 1940s/WWII atmosphere. Primary goal is to celebrate contributions made by all veterans to defend our freedom. Secondary goal is to create a Veteran's Day {Weekend} event in Waxahachie, second to none in tithe State of Texas by drawing in Antique Military vehicles, volunteer's in period uniforms and civilian attire and spectators throughout North Central and Northeast Texas.
If you can make it, contact me at michaelwstewart@yahoo.com and I will let you know where I will be staying. Hotels are cheap. The event is for ALL veterans - so bring your family members, relatives and neighbors! Wear that AFCWA Garrison Cap with pride!

•2 full days of Military vehicles and static displays!
•American and German Historical Camps - see rare equipment, uniforms and weapons.
•Enjoy a few mugs @ the Pub for Friday night "Oktoberfest"
•See the troops fed at the "Chowline" Saturday at noon
•Stroll the "Blackmarket" vendor area along Rogers Street.
•Reenactment Battle for the Train Depot and Bridge - 3pm-4pm Saturday.
•USO variety show at the Texas Theater!
•40s music Swing Dancing 10pm Saturday night.
•Over 200 Living History Participants in 1940s Military and Civilian attire, over 60 antique vehicles!
•Veteran's Ceremony Saturday morning.
•2 full days of Military vehicles and static displays!
