1. REPORT FROM VICE PRESIDENT. Bob Warren, Vice President, AFCWA has submitted his report for the First Quarter 2012:
-Volunteered and appointed liaison to Cold War Museum, Vint Hill, Virginia. Maintans near-daily contact with museum pending formal opening.
-Volunteered to help members write articles for the Cold War journal in support of our infrastructure growth.
-Routinely and frequently posts Cold War history articles at our website.
Bob has been a fixture on our forum since we began operation and has done a superb job keeping us up to date on the latest CW history that the press has covered, especially internecine conflicts that made up the Cold War years ago but are today, little known or forgotten.
2. REPORT FROM PRESIDENT. Our objective for the year will be to increase the AFCWA's visibility through two programs:
-The AFCWA "Freedom to Vote" Project which will commence this May 29th during the Republican primary in Texas and officially start in Houston on the day of the national Presidential election on Tuesday, November 4, 2012. It will be a campaign directed at the American public, reminding that the freedom we enjoy today was paid for by the blood of our veterans.
-The second ojective will be the Cold War History Project in Texas, designated for local colleges, so that the story of CW history will come alive - informing those who listen to our talks, of the bravery of our veterans since 1945, as well as the civilian toll from Communism (nearly 55,000,000).
WE SERVED IN DEFENCE OF FREEDOM
Respectfully Submitted,
Mick Stewart, President
